Established in 1855, Namring Tea Estate is one of Darjeeling's oldest and largest tea estates, spanning approximately 450 hectares. Located in the eastern part of the Darjeeling district, it comprises three divisions: Namring, Poomong, and Jinglam.
The estate cultivates a diverse range of tea bushes, including 60% China, 30% Clonal, and 10% Assam hybrid varieties, resulting in unique and exotic flavors in every cup. Situated at altitudes ranging from 3,000 to 5,500 feet above sea level, Namring benefits from an ideal combination of high mountains, steep terrain, well-drained soil, and misty clouds. This natural setting contributes to the distinctive muscatel character and flowery aroma of its teas.
With its own power house, ropeway, hospital, and a large tea factory, the estate reflects a strong commitment to quality and self-sufficiency. At Namring Tea Estate, we are dedicated to producing authentic Darjeeling teas that embody the rich heritage and exceptional quality of our region. Our passionate team ensures that each leaf is carefully cultivated and processed to deliver the finest teas to connoisseurs worldwide.
